How are brake pads for motorsport made? This question was recently explored by German tuning specialist, entrepreneur, and YouTuber Philipp Kaess, who visited the brake pad production at the German site of the parent company TMD Friction together with PAGID Racing brand ambassador Benny Leuchter. From the receipt of raw materials to mixing and quality control to the pressing process – during the guided factory tour, Kaess and Leuchter had the unique opportunity to visit the production facilities and experience the various steps of high-performance brake pad manufacturing up close. A special highlight was the demonstration of dyno testing, where the glowing brake discs impressively demonstrated its performance. Philipp Kaess commented: "It is fascinating to see how much precision, knowledge, and experience goes into the production of a brake pad. The demonstration in the test field was particularly impressive and shows how important quality and safety are in motorsport."

Special Service: Pre-bedded Brake Pads

Good preparation of the vehicle is the first requirement for any successful race. PAGID Racing offers its customers a special service with the test field. During the process, pads and discs for racing use are pre-bedded, allowing valuable training time to be used more efficiently. Race-, test-, and development driver Benny Leuchter explains: "Our PAGID Racing brake pads are always pre-bedded on the dyno. This offers us as a racing team a great timesaving at the track. In free practice, you don't have to bed in any sets, you just install them and drive."
